Completing the survey will provide you, and your fishing association with data about the economic importance of the lobster fishery in your area. The industry currently does not have this information, and it is becoming increasingly important to have it when speaking with the government in this time of rapidly changing ecosystems and international markets.

To collect this information, we need you—owner-operators of lobster licenses—to share some personal financial information. For example, annual cost of bait and fuel, number of crew and wages, and percentage of income derived from lobster sales. Catch and earnings data are not requested.

This information is being collected anonymously via a questionnaire that can be completed either online or over the phone. All data collected is owned by your association.
